Foundation Ugo Da Como
Via Rocca, 2
Lying on the green hills of the Lake Garda and at the same time in the heart of the ancient village of Lonato, the monumental complex of the Fondazione Ugo Da Como includes the properties of the Senator Ugo Da Como Brescia (1869-1941) who wanted to create in this place a citadel of culture.
In the first years of the twentieth century the ancient residence of the Venetian podestà became the home of the Senator, and it shows today the taste of the upper-class society for the interior design.
A tree-lined avenue leads, through the park, to the Venetian Fortress, considered a model of fortification by Venetian strategists, praised even by Napoleon Bonaparte.
From its walls you can enjoy a wonderful view of the whole basin of the Lake Garda.
