The Church of San Cipriano and Santa Giustina

Via San Cipriano

The church of San Cipriano, 2 km from the Lonato centre, is an ancient church mentioned the first time in the 1184 seal of the Pope Lucio III.
The building was restored in 1722, when the bell tower was built. In 1729 the Town Hall ceded the property of the church to the inhabitants of the locality San Cipriano.

Inside there are some frescoes from the late fifteenth century depicting St. Sebastian and other saints.
We can admire the semi-circular apse from the Romanic period divided by thin pilaster strips, resting on a high base, that divide the structure in three sections, in each of which a single lancet window opens.
