Chiesa di San Giovanni Decollato - Castel Venzago

The origins of the church are unknown. It was mentioned for the first time in the pastoral visit of 1595 and in the following four other visits which took place between the mid-seventeenth century and the first decade of the eighteenth century.
The building is owned by the Parish of the Beata Maria Vergine del Rosario in Centenaro.
 
The gabled façade faces west. At the back of the church is the bell tower. The interior has a single hall, the main altarpiece dating back to the eighteenth century depicts the "Beheading of St. John the Baptist".
